Mr. & Mrs. Rees-Gerton Sneak Peeks- Chico Wedding Photographer

I realized the other day, that in the midst of excitement to finally be able to post photos from Saturday's wedding, I never did a blog post! So here it is! Saturday's wedding was the close of my wedding season this year. Sad but true! As far as weddings go, I'm glad I ended on that one! I had so much fun and I didn't really stress the whole day, which if you've ever worked a wedding, you know it can be very stressful! I had so much fun with the wedding party and the reception was filled with laughter and dancing! I will definitely hold on to a few memories from this wedding for years to come. Now enough with the rambling, check out these awesome sneak peeks!

Anybody guess what song they are dancing to!?

Carrell Wedding- Magalia Photographer

When I met Sam and Robert earlier this year, I knew I was going to have a blast on their wedding day. We did their engagement session in February and I felt like we all instantly clicked. We goofed around almost the whole shoot like we had known each other much longer th an just over the few emails we had previously exchanged. As their wedding drew near we started going over more details and I got more and more excited. Finally the day had come! Their wedding was at a private residence in Magalia, Ca. It was so beautiful and was surrounded by so many beautiful tall trees. This worked out great as far as lighting went and also helped keep it a lot cooler! As far as wedding days go this one ran by as smooth as you can pretty much hope. There's never been a wedding that I've completely stuck to the schedule but this one was fairly close. The groomsmen were such a blast to work with and kept me laughing the whole time. I actually had to tell them (jokingly of course) to stop making me laugh so much because I needed to hold my camera still! The bridesmaids were all so beautiful and were also easy to work with. I love a wedding party that doesn't complain and is totally up for what you want to do! The ceremony came and was short but sweet, and finally they were married! I love when a couple is so excited that they just got married, they can't help but throw their arms in the air in excitement! We took all of our after ceremony photos and then went in to the reception. I have to say, their wedding party entrance was my favorite by far. They had little clips of music for each individual person and they all came out dancing, no holding back! I love a wedding party that can let loose! The food and cake was amazing, definitely a perk of shooting weddings! Then the reception went into full swing. There was lots of dancing and conversation. I have to give a shout out to their dj. His name is Chris Frankovich from " The Wedding DJ". He was very professional and was very easy to work with! You can find him at www.chicoweddingdj.com. The end of the night was probably one of my favorite moments. The bride slipped into her other dress and brought out the SPARKLERS! Man do I LOVE me some sparklers! I was able to get some really beautiful photos of them in front of the beautiful light they gave off. Over all it was an amazing wedding, and I was so honored that they chose me to capture their day! Congrats again Sam and Robert!
