Angela, mommy mini- Chico Family Photographer

This was my last mini session of the day when I did my "Mommy and Me" mini's. We worked quickly but the lighting was beautiful! I'm so happy with how these photos turned out. Angela found me on Facebook and I'm so glad she did. I loved watching the bond between her and her son. He was seriously so cute and just kept saying the cutest things! He was SO excited when they brought out his little puppy. He was such a trooper and I hope I get to take his photos again some day in the future. Thanks for choosing me Angela! Oh P.S. Sorry the photos are so small! My blog is having issues resizing and I'm trying to figure it out! If you click on them, they will still enlarge!

Christian Turns one!- Chico California Photographer

One of the reason's why I love my job is because I get to be apart of other people's life events. I get to watch families grow and welcome little ones in to the world. When I first photographed the Charmely's it was only three of them, Misty, Chris and Lexsey. Just prior to the session they had gone through something very hard. Over the next couple years they endured heart ache through miscarriages. When I found out that Misty was pregnant, I seriously almost cried! She is such a wonderful woman and an amazing mama! I was even more overjoyed when I found out they were having a boy! I had the privilege of photographing their maternity photos and not to long after, Christians newborn photos. Asher was only about a month at the time so I of course was in baby mode! A few months after, Chris and Misty announced that they were moving to Fortuna, Ca. I was sad because I thought I would be losing a great client! I was SO excited when Misty messaged me saying she was coming to Chico and wanted a session. I of coursed couldn't say no! Christian is one of the happiest babies I've ever photographed and I just LOVE the idea Misty came up with for the session!

Zepeda Family- Chico Family Photographer

It's crazy to me that I have known Robyn since high school. She actually used to cheer with my older sister. When I first started this amazing photography adventure, her and Mario's wedding was my very first. In my last post about baby Warner, I had mentioned that one of the reasons I love my job is being able to witness other peoples' life events, watch them change. I have been able to witness so much with this family. I started with Robyn and Mario's engagement session, then wedding, baby Giovanni and now baby Josiah. It's such an honor to be able to be the one to capture the photographs they will be able to reflect upon. I seriously just LOVE MY JOB! This was a very quick session, both boys were NOT very happy about taking photos. It actually didn't surprise me since even at Giovanni's newborn session he wasn't having any of it! Even though we had to work around some crying and running around I think the photos still turned out great! You would never have guessed! Thanks for choosing me again Robyn and Mario! I can't wait to see what's next in your lives! Love you guys :)

Warner turns 1- Chico Children Photographer

I have been waiting for this session for almost six months now! In November I did Warner's six month photos and we talked about what we wanted to do for his year session. I had mentioned to Jhoana that I had seen cake smash sessions and I really wanted to do one, but hadn't yet. She was thrilled with the idea! Fast forward six months and we met at the location we originally photographed her maternity photos. Warner is such a sweet boy and so small! We took some photos of him nice and clean and then we let him dive in to the cake. Well, that's what we expected. Warner was so funny, he seemed really confused by the cake, not quite sure what to make of it. Jhoana actually had to help him eat it at first because he was too intimated by it! After taking a few bites he would shake his head and get the funniest look on his face. We were cracking up the whole time. Eventually he did start to enjoy himself though! I just loved his session. Honestly, one of my favorite parts of being a photographer is witnessing such exciting times in peoples' lives, watching them grow and change. I was there to witness Warner growing in his mommy's tummy, when he was less than two weeks, and now a year old. I can't wait to see how he changes through the years!
