Jessika & Nate- Chico Engagement Photographer

I first met Jessika many years ago when we worked together in a coffee shop. We became really good friends and she actually was one of my bridesmaids! It's been a long journey since then and she had seen her fair share of rough times. When she first started dating Nate I was a little hesitant, but he seemed much different from anyone from before. He has been stationed over in Hawaii so the first time I was able to meet him was at the engagement session. If you know Jessika, you know she is a firecracker, and you have to be able to keep up with her if your going to be with her. Well, Nate can definitely keep up. It was actually amazing to me to see them interact with each other. He knew how to comment back to her in the right way, and to come her down if she needed. I honestly knew he was the one for her as I was shooting their engagement photos. He is exactly the kind of man she needs. Their session was at his dad's house in Oroville, and it was the perfect spot for them. I was so excited when I pulled up and saw his awesome classic car. Don't hate me for not knowing what kind it was! We started off in the orchard and their first outfits were my favorite. Military and country are always cute styles to mix! When they went to change I took some time to snap a few ring shots. Not all photographers do but I actually love taking ring shots! I had to stop myself from taking too many because there were so many cool textures to contrast it with. It was funny because when the session started, the sun was a little higher than I wanted but I thought "that's okay it's going down." Well, as the session went down the sun not only went down it got covered by these pretty ugly storm clouds! It was so strange! I was actually thinking it was going to start raining! We worked quickly and efficiently and I honestly love how these photos turned out. I can just feel the love between them and I can't wait to shoot their wedding! Thanks again for choosing me Nate and Jessika!
